PRIDE INVESTMENT PARTNERS & PARTNERS BREAK GROUND ON MCCORD SQUARE

$50 million, 48-acre mixed-use development will be downtown focal-point and gathering place, and is a partnership between Pride investment Partners, Rebar Development and the Town of McCordsville

October 24, 2022, MCCORDSVILLE, IN. – Hancock County based, Pride Investment Partners’ Owner Keith White and Chief Investment Officer, Wade Etheredge, joined Rebar Development and Town of McCordsville officials to officially break ground on the first phase of McCord Square, a $50 million town center district mixed-use master development located at the southeast corner of Broadway Ave. (SR 67) and Mt. Comfort Rd.  The project will be the heart of and just the beginning to establishing a defined, vibrant downtown district and will be anchored by McCord Square Apartments, upscale apartments offering luxury amenities and the first project to begin construction; as well as a Town Hall, a new outdoor amphitheater called The Civic Commons, a park, retail and office space, restaurants, and more.

“In June, we opened our 3rd Leo’s Market and Eatery store with a location in McCordsville.  Working with Town officials and meeting with the Town’s amazing citizens has been an absolute pleasure.  It is integral to our organization’s culture that we invest in and partner on projects such as McCord Square, with Town leadership which prioritizes its citizens and their utmost quality of life through significant attention and development of the community within which they reside.  We are honored to be a part of the McCordsville community and this very special day,” said Stephanie and Keith White, owners of Pride Investment Partners.

PRIDE INVESTMENT PARTNERS DONATES LAND, BUILDING TO TOWN OF GALVESTON

Land of .3 acres and 3,100-square-foot building included in donation

GALVESTON, IN DECEMBER 24, 2021 – Pride Investment Partners, a real estate and private equity investment company based in Greenfield, Indiana, recently donated land and a building worth nearly $50,000 to the town of Galveston.

The site, at 306 S. California Street in Galveston, contains .3 acres of land and a building measuring 3,100 square feet, according to Keith White, partner with the company. Pride Investment Partners owned the land through the acquisition of the Red Barn gas station chain in central and northern Indiana –  when the GasAmerica gas stations were in operation, he said.

“That particular store was too close to one of our newer GasAmerica locations,” he said. “Rather than converting Red Barn into another GasAmerica, as a company we decided it made the most sense to close this location altogether. So, we rented it to the town, who utilized it for its police and town hall. We are grateful to be able to turn over ownership of this land to the city for their continued use.”

Galveston Town Council President Wes Hull said the building has been used as the police department for some 8 years and as the town hall for 5 years. He said the previous lease had been a good deal, and now that the town owns the building, leaders look forward to keeping their departments there for years to come.

“We got the deed this month,” he said. “It’s like a Christmas present for the town.”

Galveston is a town in Cass County, with a population of about 1,226 according to the 2019 United States Census, and is located in north central Indiana.

LEO’S MARKET & EATERY TO OPEN 3RD LOCATION IN MCCORDSVILLE

Hybrid grocery and eatery offering fresh, local options is experiencing exponential growth

OCTOBER 2020, MCCORDSVILLE, INDIANA – Leo’s Market & Eatery recently began construction on its third store; it is expected to employ about 40 people and slated to open in early 2022 in McCordsville, Indiana.  The 7,200-square-foot hybrid grocery and eatery, located at the intersection of County Road 900 North and Olio Road, will join Leo’s flagship location in Greenfield and its Noblesville store, which successfully opened in 2021.

You can fuel-up at Leo’s, however, not on gasoline alone.  Leo’s uniquely combines the best features of a convenience store and a local grocery store with an always-fresh eatery.  Leo’s aims to provide convenience for families trying to make healthy choices with limited time. The focus of the store and its employees is to help each customer conquer their day.  The large store footprint allows ample room for the market to showcase its fresh produce, breads, cheeses, a wide selection of beverages and fresh-ground bean-to-cup coffee.  In the eatery, Executive Chef Matt Chappell offers freshly prepared bakery items, including Leo’s signature kolaches – a type of pastry stuffed or topped with sweet or savory filling — as well as the eatery’s highly customizable Power Bowls, salads, and popular house-made soups.

“Leo’s is not your typical ‘convenience store.’  We pride ourselves on providing chef-inspired meals and made-to-order salads and pastas at our eatery with that quick and convenient factor still there; even offering a drive-thru option for those on the go.  Not only can you get made-to-order food, but you can also pick up market items like milk, fresh produce, or a bouquet of flowers without having to get out of your car,” said Stephanie White-Longworth, President of Leo’s Market and Eatery.

Leo’s offers special deals every week via its rewards program, weekly food tastings of its products, and is dedicated to ‘giving back’ to each community in which it resides; and McCordsville will be no different.  One of the core values of the company is to give back; an effort bolstered by a paycheck contribution program matched by the company and dine-to-donate events held monthly which benefit local nonprofit organizations.

ABOUT LEO’S MARKET & EATERY

Leo’s Market & Eatery, founded by Stephanie White-Longworth and Keith White, is a subsidiary of Pride Investment Partners.  The pair were the fourth generation of leadership of GasAmerica, which they grew to more than 90 stores across Indiana and the Midwest before selling to Marathon Petroleum in 2012.  Leo’s is named after the business partners’ late father, Richard Leo White.  Originating in Greenfield, Indiana, Leo’s is like no other ‘convenience’ store concept in the industry today.  Leo’s has a chef providing weekly special featured food dishes including prepared and made-to-order soups, salads, pastas, pastries, and more; and is known for its wide assortment of breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert kolaches.  Grab your food to-go, dine-in, or visit the drive-thru which serves both eatery and market items.  Leo’s market provides a wide assortment of grocery items including fresh produce, meats, cheeses, breads, ready-to-go family meal options, hand-picked flowers, and gifts; and of course, has your traditional snacks, chips, beverages, etc.  Leo’s supports local Indiana vendors; so, you will always find something ‘homegrown’ or ‘homemade’ in Indiana on the shelves.  Find your local Leo’s at www.yourleos.com.

Pride Investment Partners donates land parcel to town of Shirley

Created Monday, July 19, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GREENFIELD –Pride Investment Partners recently donated a parcel of land to the town of Shirley that town officials envision as the future centerpiece of a long-awaited trail.

The parcel of land, which sits east of the Marathon gas station near Shirley’s downtown, measures 1,780 feet by 102 feet, and was formerly property of GasAmerica Services, which owned and operated the now-Marathon-owned service station for several years.

Shirley officials said the piece of land is important to their upcoming walking trail, which will be roughly a mile long and will connect the town’s historical district, park and sports fields. Construction on the asphalt trail project is expected to begin this summer, said Shirley Clerk/Treasurer Teresa Hester.

While the first phase of the project includes the asphalt trail, Hester said she and other officials hope to have parking spaces installed where events like a farmer’s market could take place without disrupting traffic. She also envisions beautifying the parcel with trees.

In addition, town officials in the future hope to be able to upgrade its sports facilities, add fitness stations, and create signage on the trail highlighting some of the town’s historical sites.

The project is part of the Health and Heritage Region – Fortville, Greenfield, Hancock County, Stellar Communities Designation Program. Funding for this project is provided through a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Community Development Block Grant through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

Shirley, a town of about 830 people that sits on the border between Hancock and Henry counties, was established in 1890 when the Cincinnati, Wabash, and Michigan Railway was built to that point.

Pride Investment Partners, a real estate and private equity investment development company, is helmed by Keith White and Stephanie White-Longworth. White and White-Longworth stand as the fourth generation involved in the petroleum and convenience store industries.

They stepped into leadership positions in 1998, taking the helm for the GasAmerica gas station and convenience stores. They sold GasAmerica Services to Marathon in 2012 and have started a new retail effort with Leo’s Market and Eatery. The unique stores, which feature a fresh market, eatery, convenience favorites and gas services, currently have locations in Greenfield and Noblesville, with two more planned to open in the next 12 months.

Leo’s Market and Eatery employees donate $2,595 to animal shelter

Created Monday, May 31, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GREENFIELD – Leo’s Market and Eatery employees are using their hard-earned money to support furry friends in need of a home.

Through a voluntary paycheck contribution program, employees gathered $2,595 and voted to contribute the funds to the Hancock County Humane Society, a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter operating in the county since 1977.

Board member Tami White presents a check to Beverly Reece, treasurer of the Hancock County Humane Society, with Leo’s Market and Eatery employees in the background.

Some $9,800 has been donated to several county nonprofit organizations through the Pride’s Purpose community enrichment fund.  This is the third such event held since the Greenfield Leo’s Market and Eatery location, 2212 W. Main St., opened in July 2019.

When a new employee is hired at Leo’s Market and Eatery, one of the first things they do is decide whether to make a charitable donation of a portion of each paycheck into the fund.

Leo’s Market and Eatery matches 100% of each of those donations, meaning for every dollar donated by employees, Leo’s also contributes a dollar to the fund. Leo’s Market and Eatery encourages employees to donate part of each paycheck to support its core values, including community mindedness.

Leo’s and Pride Investment Partners also pursue sponsorships, dine-to-donate events, volunteering and making donations to local nonprofit organizations. Past contributions have gone to the Landing Place, the Hope House homeless shelter, and Mental Health Partners of Hancock County.

The Humane Society houses an average of 40 cats every day, either in its shelter or in the homes of volunteer foster parents, said Beverly Reece, Hancock County Humane Society treasurer and adoption coordinator.

The contributions made by Leo’s Market and Eatery employees will go toward operating costs, which in the summer include increased air conditioning bills, along with the usual veterinary bills for spays, neuters, and other healthcare for the cats, which is included in the cost of adopting from the Humane Society, Reece said.

Tami White, Pride Investment Partners board member, said employees decisively chose the Humane Society to donate to during this round.

Getting to watch employees choose where their contributions go and getting excited about improving the community is a powerful thing, she added.

“It’s their money, and that goes a long way,” she said.
